Bouzeron 'Clos de la Fortune Monopole', Maison Chanzy
Description
This incredible, and incredibly rare wine is produced from a tiny selection of the oldest Aligote vines in Clos de La Fortune (nearly 60 years old). The extra concentration of fruit, as well as an extra 4 months in barrel and regular bâtonnage, gives this wine so much more weight and complexity that you would easily mistake it for a very fine Chardonnay from the Côte de Beaune. Baked apple on the nose with white flowers and a hint of toast. Spice and intense concentration on the palate with cantaloupe melon and fresh, mineral, slightly prickly acidity, and seamless oak integration.
