South Downs Cellars Virtual Wine Tasting - Revana Vineyard

Thursday 8th September, 7.30pm via Zoom
Dr Madaiah Revana started his career in growing great wine estates after a successful career in cardiology. He has founded estates very simply as his drinking habits and interests have changed: loving good Cabernet made him look firstly at Napa in 1997, to make terroir-driven Bordeaux styles. Secondly, after tasting fine Burgundy, he founded Alexana Estate in Oregon’s Willamette Valley in 2005, nodding his head here at Alsatian whites as well. In 2008 he went a step further - developing Corazon del Sol in Mendoza to blend Argentine, Bordeaux and Rhone styles of wines into a highly innovative package.
They have been highly successful - both Jancis Robinson MW and the Wine Advocate have both written up numerous vintages
You will receive a 10cl sample of each of 6 different wines on tasting - more than enough for 2 people. You will then be sent a link to watch the webinar on Zoom on Thursday 8th September at 7.30pm. Should you be unable to watch at this time, you will also be sent a link to the recording of the tasting, which you can watch at a time to suit you. As a webinar, only the speakers will be viewable on screen, however you will be able to ask questions via the Chat option on Zoom.
The tasting will last around 1 1/4 hours. It will consist of several different segments - drone tours of the estates, interactive tasting notes, interviews with winemakers and estate workers, all wrapped up with a live talk through the three estates by Revana’s Vice-President of Sales, Dylan York and Jamie Smith.
