Delivery Options

Delivery Terms & Conditions

• We aim for goods to be dispatched within 24 hours of receipt of order (subject to all stock being on the premises at South Downs Cellars, Hurstpierpoint).  If stock needs to be transferred from the warehouse, this may take slightly longer.  
• Our local delivery service is offered on deliveries of all wines and beers in stock, local to South Downs Cellars (in Hurstpierpoint and Lindfield), with a minimum order of 6 bottles or £50.
• Regional and national deliveries are carried out Monday-Friday. Some local deliveries are possible on Saturdays after 6pm for items in stock, however please call our shops to  confirm.
• If a wine is not in stock, you shall be contacted with a date when you can expect delivery, or to offer a substitution. 
• If you require your order urgently, please make sure this is made clear when placing the order.  Please ensure adequate instructions are noted in the delivery details on your order.
• Regional and national deliveries are normally made between the hours of 8am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, and a signature willl be required. Should you give instruction for the parcel to be left safe without a signature, this is done at your own risk. Please provide as much information as possible when placing your order to ensure safe delivery of your wine.
• During busy periods such as Christmas, please allow an extra two days for your parcels to be dispatched and delivered.  All Christmas orders must be placed at least 5 working days before Christmas, to ensure delivery in time for Christmas.
• For delivery to any non-mainland UK destination (including Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland and islands), please contact us for rates before finalising your order.
• You can select a future working day for delivery if you wish.
• Please notify us within 24 hours of delivery of any shortages or breakages.
• While all efforts are made to keep the vintages up to date on the website, we reserve the right to dispatch wine from a newer vintage, should the older vintage be finished.
