Clynelish 12 Year Old 2013 is a distinctive and characterful Highland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled by James Eadie as part of their heritage-led collection inspired by W. Y. Crowe’s seminal work The Distilleries of Great Britain & Ireland (1922-1929). Distilled in 2013 and matured in re-charred hogsheads, this expressive release is bottled at 52.5% ABV, delivering a bold yet balanced Highland dram with enhanced depth and texture.
On the nose there are notes of candle wax, citrus peel, vanilla, and soft spice with hints of toasted oak. The palate is full-bodied and textured, revealing flavours of honeyed malt, orchard fruits, toffee, and warming spice. Long and gently drying on the finish, with lingering waxy notes, oak spice, and subtle sweetness.
