It is reputed to be home to some of the finest, and most expensive, vineyards of the world. The wines of the famous Cote d’Or can command premium prices due to their tiny volumes of production and high levels of demand, whilst the Chalonnaise and Maconnais sub-regions of Burgundy both offer better value examples of why this region is considered one the finest on the planet.
