Cuvee Boz Blanc de Blancs, Sugrue South Downs
Description
An outstanding new release from Dermot Sugrue. Elegant notes of white flowers and citrus on the nose lead to an elegant palate with intensity and textural complexity, achieved with the extended lees ageing. This wine was vinified entirely in stainless barrels, without any oak, so a remarkable clarity and freshness shines through displaying toasty, flint-like minerality and a long, persistent finish.

Is Sugrue England’s best sparkling wine? Obviously tastes are personal and vintages vary, but the consistently high scores and rave reviews achieved for each wine released suggest that it is certainly a contender for that title. Regardless Dermot is one of the most talented winemakers working in the UK today.
