Newton Johnson Albarino, Newton Johnson Family Vineyards
Description
The nose of the Newton Johnson displays a floral top note before peach and orange plus just a touch of leesy character. The palate has good fruit expression, as well a slight greasiness when it comes to texture it’s rounder with less piercing acidity than the Springfield. The finish, meanwhile, is gently savoury. It’s perhaps not quite sure what it wants to be but intriguing, even so. ' Christian Eedes, Winemag.co.za,

Producer Details
Newton Johnson was founded in the mid-1990s by Cape Wine Master, Dave Johnson and his wife, Felicity (Née Newton). Over the past twenty years, the winery has built a reputation for producing some of the Cape’s finest Pinot Noir’s. This is not a massive surprise since Dave’s CWM thesis was on the variety and the quality of their wines reflect this.
