Tradition Blanc, Chateau Fontareche

Tradition Blanc

Description

A blend of Vermentino, Sauvignon Blanc and Colombard from the Corbieres region of the Languedoc displaying vibrant citrus fruit flavours and a refreshing acidity. The inclusion of Vermentino in the blend makes this a better wine, however also means that this can't be classified as AOC Corbieres, and so is bottled as an IGP Pays d'Oc.

Producer Details

Located in the heart of Languedoc, between Narbonne and Carcassonne, ontarèche is one of the oldest wine estates and a reference in the Corbières appellation. The Fontarèche vineyard extends over more than 130 hectares perfectly distributed around the Château and the winemaking cellar.

In 1682, Château Fontarèche and its estate became the property of Pierre Mignard, portrait painter of Louis XIV. The Lamy family, descendants of the Mignard family, are the current owners of the estate and rely on a passionate and dynamic team led by the director Vincent Dubernet.
