Coastal Region Wine

The Coastal Region stretches from Darling in the north down to Constantina near Cape Town in the south and east to Stellenbosch and Paarl. This accounts for nearly half of all vineyard plantings in South Africa. The region has two cooling influences, the ocean breezes and cool mountain air, and between the two of them this helps grapes grown here to take slightly longer to ripen and gain more complexity.
