Crete Wine
Crete is the southernmost of the Greek islands and produces more wine than any of the other Greek Island regions. Thanks to investment in the Cretian wine trade the Island has recently seen a revolution in how its vineyards are managed. Varieties that nearly went extinct, such as Dafni, have been saved thanks to hard work from producers, such as Lyrarakis, seeking to preserve their island’s wine making heritage.
