Rutherglen Wine
Rutherglen produces fortified sweet wines unlike anywhere else in the world. The baking hot days are balanced by cold nights that help the muscat grape ripen and raisin on the vine whilst still retaining their freshness. Once harvested, the wine is aged for years in a solera system like those used to make sherry, before being released as deliciously intense non-vintage sweet wine.
