Uruguayan Wine
The sunny yet wet climate of Uruguay gives most of its wine regions more in common with Bordeaux than neighboring Argentina. Tannat has become the Uruguayan calling card, producing full bodied, plump wines that have a velvety texture, but there is much more to explore here as the country continues to develop its burgeoning reputation.
