Vin De France Wine

Wines that do not meet the expectations/rules of their local appellation board are labelled as Vin de France. This does not necessarily mean they are of a lesser quality, indeed some Vin de France are in high demand. What it does mean is that the winemaker does not play by the rules and is willing to try new styles and techniques in order to produce great wine.
