Washington State Wine

The wine regions of Washington are semi arid, with hot summers and cold winters. Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Syrah and the Bordeaux grapes all do well here thanks to this climate. Although single variety wines once dominated this area blends are becoming the dominant style of winemaking as producers look to make the most of each variety's characteristics in order to produce balanced fine wines.
