Rooster Rojo Reposado Tequila

Description

Produced and distilled in the heart of Tequila, Mexico, by Fabrica de Tequilas, this reposado was made with blue agave that was cooked in autoclaves using steam for 10 hours. A special yeast is then added to the agave juices before fermentation, which lasts as long as 72 hours before distillation. Rooster Rojo reposado is subsequently double pot distilled in stainless steel pot stills, before being 'rested' in oak. Water filtered through Mexican silver is added to blend the product down to a measured 38% ABV.

On the nose it exudes warm oak wood aromas as well as hints of ripe fruit and cooked agave. The palate is very soft with renewed notes of cooked agave, vanilla and caramel. The medium finish is silky, full-bodied and warm.
