Casablanca Valley Wine
In the 1990s the Casablanca Valley was one of the first modern wine regions to take advantage of planting vines close to the coast in order to maximise the cooling influence of onshore breezes. The proximity of the ocean also helps moderate the cold winters and extend the grapes growing season by around a month compared to the vineyards further inland.
