Martinborough Wine

The mountains that are to the west of Martinborough cast a rain shadow over the area which means that this is the driest part of the North Island. It has a cool climate with warm summer days, which when coupled with the dry autumns is ideal for Pinot Noir wines that can claim to have a Burgundian feel to them.
