Puglia Wine
Down in the heel of the boot of Italy is the wine region of Puglia, well known for its full bodied red wines. The region has a hot, dry climate that is well suited to red wine production, using local grapes such as Primitivo and Negroamaro, the latter is particularly successful in Salice Salentino. Italy is not Primitivo’s only home and it is also known as Zinfandel in North America.
